The Necromancer
by
Michael Scott
I just finished reading the Necromancer which is the 4th book in a series
written by Michael Scott (who happens to be
my neighbor Vanessa’s Uncle). http://www.dillonscott.com/
I did enjoy the book as it follows the adventures of Sophie & Josh,
Twins who starred in all the previous books. The book definitely keeps your interest
& makes you want to keep reading to find out what happens. I caught myself
cheering for the good guys – at least who I think are the good guys…
because sometimes it can be vague……
& “booing” the bad guys… at least who we THINK are the “bad guys”.
The only “issue” I had with the book is
there are a lot of different scenarios going on simultaneously &
sometimes I got a little confused about who was where.
Overall – I enjoyed it like the last 3 books & am totally
bummed I have to wait until Book 5
THE WARLOCK
comes out next year!!!

Accept full responsibility for everything you undertakeNicky –
Since you asked…. here is the Story of Joyce & her Eagle Scout “boyfriend”
One day we were biking and we ended up in Washington Crossing at Colonial Market.

We came upon Boy Scouts there selling something, popcorn I think. We started talking
to them & the one kid was an Eagle Scout so naturally we were interrogating him
about what it takes to be an Eagle Scout & where he was going college….
blah blah blah. We were done with our rest stop & you know me –
I HAD to get a picture of Joyce with Mr Eagle Scout.
A couple weeks later there was an article in the Bucks County Herald about the Eagle Scout
we had met. I knew it was him because they had his picture & they talked about the projects he
completed just like he told us about. SO…….being Helen…. I clipped the article & wrote a letter
to Joyce (on Choco-Cat Stationery) as if I were the Eagle Scout. I just said how it was nice meeting her & thought she might like to read the article the Herald featured. THEN I mailed it “Helen Style” to Joyce with stickers all over the envelope but no return address. Joyce gets the letter & thinks “HOW did this kid get my address?”. She thought it was strange he
sent the article about himself & even stranger about the Choco-Cat Stationery & “fancy envelope”.
Since I had no return address she googled his name & was trying to find more info & was thinking
about writing back to him!! I forgot I even sent the letter & a week or more later I said – Hey Joyce – Did you happen to get a letter from your Eagle Scout boyfriend?? Well — needless to say she was embarrassed she thought it was REAL & I actually think she is still pissed about me messing with her….. OF COURSE – every time we talk about the “incident” we laugh our asses off – because really –
How FUNNY is that story? The only thing better is if I got a picture of the envelope & stationery. Joyce is very gullible & we have tricked her on other things. Sometimes she gets kinds of mad but
in the end we always LAUGH 🙂 I hope the story made you SMILE 🙂
